My name is Zanele, but everyone calls me Zar. I started as an admin clerk at Old Mutual in 1995. Over 27 years in financial services I became a sales manager, a financial planner, and then spent 13 years in Learning & Development at Momentum and FNB, training the people who run our banks and insurers.
In 2022 I left corporate and built Learn with Zar from nothing: no tech background, no shortcuts. What I had was a trainer's instinct, a determination to figure out how the digital economy worked, and a commitment to teaching others what I learned along the way.
Over the past few years I've trained over 1,995 learners, built and delivered 28+ courses, grown a YouTube community of 41,000+, and built a creator community of 100+ active members in the Inner Circle on Skool.
I use AI in my daily work, from content development to course design to building the tools on this very website. This means the AI skills I teach are ones I use in my own work every day.
Today, Learn with Zar operates across two tracks: corporate partnerships, where I work with South African organisations as an L&D and AI skills facilitator, and creator education, helping everyday people build income online through the Inner Circle community.
